Rowntree Players – fresh from the success of their pantomime, The Adventures of Peter Pan – will soon be back on our stage with a very different show. This time it’s Oscar Wilde’s farcical play about evading social obligations via deception, The Importance of Being Earnest. Described as a sharp comedy, with plenty of playful moments, this production is a fresh, queer-inspired take on Wilde’s classic that’s both hilarious and captivating.
