Prepare for an unforgettable night of comedy as Ripping Yarms Comedy Club proudly presents Joel Dommett as headliner of another stellar lineup that’s guaranteed to have you roaring with laughter!

Taking centre stage is the phenomenal Joel Dommett, bringing his trademark high-energy performance and razor-sharp wit to Yarm. Known for his infectious enthusiasm and masterful storytelling, Joel has firmly established himself as one of the UK's most captivating comedians. From his hilarious stand-up specials to hosting major TV shows, Joel's charismatic stage presence and lightning-quick humour make him a true comedy powerhouse on the circuit.

The evening's entertainment will be expertly guided by MC Allyson June Smith, whose commanding stage presence and quick-witted banter create the perfect atmosphere for comedy. Matt Bragg brings his distinctive comedic voice and expertly crafted jokes to the lineup, while Louise Young rounds out this outstanding bill with her fresh perspective and hilarious insights that have been making serious waves on the comedy circuit.

Joel Dommett

Joel Dommett has become a regular face on TV, from being a finalist in 2016's I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!, to then hosting I'm a Celebrity Extra Camp alongside Scarlett Moffatt and Joe Swash. He starred in two series of the critically acclaimed Comedy Central Show Joel and Nish Vs the World, is the co-host of ITV2's new dating show Singletown, and he's the presenter of the soon to be aired international smash The Masked Singer. The start of 2019 saw Joel release a thirty minute stand-up special for Netflix as part of a global comedy event Comedians of the World. He has also achieved a place on the Sunday Times Bestseller list with his book It's Not Me It's Them, which was recently released in paperback.

Louise Young

Hailing from Newcastle, Louise Young has quickly become one of the brightest new names on the comedy circuit. She is a regular at clubs up and down the country including the Glee Clubs, Komedia, and The Stand. Louise has supported the likes of Jason Manford and Alan Carr on their nation wide UK and Ireland tours. In 2020, she was nominated for Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year, and the following year was nominated for Leicester Comedy Festival’s Best Festival Appearance. Louise was also a finalist in the Funny Women Awards in 2018. Louise has presented a weekly comedy radio show on BBC Radio Newcastle, and at the 2020 Gillard Awards won a commendation for Newcomer of the Year on the station. Louise also wrote and acted in Channel 4’s Original Comedy shorts on three sketches, one of which gained over five million views and went on to receive North East RTS award. As heard on BBC Radio 4’s Fred at The Stand, and soon to be seen on Comedy Central Live!

Since 2000, Allyson June Smith has been tickling Canada’s comedy scene from the moment she put down the chalk brush and picked up a mic. Playing to packed rooms has become like another day in the classroom for this former school teacher. A multiple Canadian Comedy Award nominee for Best Female Stand-Up. Allyson's credits include her own hour long Comedy Now special, appearances on CBC Radio’s hit show The Debaters, and the Winnipeg, Halifax and Just For Laughs Festivals, to name just a few. After working her way across Canada, Allyson is now taking the UK by storm with her sassy blend of in-your-face stand-up and hilariously insightful comedy.
