Crowthorne Symphony Orchestra

Our concert season opens at All Saints Wokingham on November 22nd with Dvorak's 7th Symphony - hailed by many as his greatest – along with Sibelius' much-loved Karelia Suite and the 1938 Symphony No.2 by Elsa Barraine, a less familiar name despite being considered “one of the outstanding French composers of the mid-20th century" in her time. Barraine's music is starting to be programmed more often, and Symphony No.2 was featured at this year's Proms. It promises to be a classic CSO concert with a good mix of the familiar and the new to enjoy.
