Shaft of Wit presents another spectacular Big Comedy Club Night, headlined by Clinton Baptiste, with support acts and MC.
Get ready for an epic evening of stand-up straight from the top-tier headliner, the legendary Clinton Baptiste, the ‘world-famous’ clairvoyant best known from Phoenix Nights. **This is a mixed bill comedy evening, not a solo performance.**
Expect exaggerated psychic visions, hilariously misguided readings, and comedy gold from this larger-than-life character. Clinton Baptiste is the brilliant creation of Alex Lowe, mastermind behind viral sensation Barry from Watford. His supernatural comedy performances have taken the UK by storm and lit up international festivals.
Supporting on the night:
* Michael Akadiri, junior doctor turned stand-up sensation. Michael’s natural charm and cheeky observational style have made him a rising star in UK comedy. Winner of the Komedia New Comedy Award, he’s been featured on Comedy Central Live, BBC’s New Comedy Award, and ITV’s Stand Up Sketch Show.
* Brian Damage & Krysstal make a rare appearance whilst visiting from their Australia paradise. Their unique double act channels the spirit of vaudeville with hilarious jokes and song, this is an act you will love!

Brian Damage & Krysstal
Since meeting at The Edinburgh Festival in 2000, Brian & Krysstal have entertained and delighted all kinds of audiences at comedy clubs, cabaret nights, festivals, corporate and private functions in locations far and wide. Their sometimes bawdy humour is punctuated by silly songs, dancing and plenty of jokes. Regular fixtures at The Edinburgh Festival for eight years, the duo have worked all over the UK as well as Germany, South Africa, Gozo, Spain, Denmark, Ireland, Australia and of course… Peckham. Brian is infamously grumpy and deadpan, while his assistant Krysstal is glamorous but ditzy. The combination is unique and very funny. Their timing is exquisite, their humour dry and sometimes bawdy. 'Wonderful silliness, some cute songs, some political incorrectness, some sick vomit and poo jokes and a lot of originality. It is all done with that intangible panache, subtlety and ability to laugh at one's self that is quintessential to British humour' (Peter Bleby, Australian Stage).
