On April 22nd 1959 at Columbia’s 30th street studio in New York City, Miles Davis completed his iconic album ‘Kind of Blue’ The album features Davis’s ensemble sextet consisting of saxophonists John Coltrane and Julian “Cannonball” Adderley, pianist Bill Evans, bassist Paul Chambers, and drummer Jimmy Cobb, with Wynton Kelly appearing on ‘Freddie Freeloader’
The album was released on August 17th 1959 and sixty years on is still one of the most successful jazz albums of all time. Now, you can experience this album recreated LIVE onstage with a cast of outstanding jazz musicians
