The Whitehaven Theatre Group

“Whitehaven Theatre Group was formed in 1970. We try to bring the opportunity to experience live theatre to the community through participation as actors, singers, production, crew and audience. The group has gone on to perform musicals, plays and pantomimes almost every year since in the beautiful Georgian port of Whitehaven, on the west coast of Cumbria. Several of our members have been nominated for NODA North West Awards, most recent our play in 2017 “Funny Money” received 2 nominations for Best Drama and Best Lead Actress (Vanessa Turpin). We are very much looking forward to attending the awards ceremony in May 2018. Members range from all ages, as young as 2 and enjoy rehearsing, performing and socialising!”
