A special 30th birthday celebration for what the BBC hails a “wonderful, virtuosic brass quintet” who have redefined for our generation what the brass ensemble can do. “Their virtuosity is absolutely staggering…they are brilliant” – Sarah Walker BBC Radio 3. The culmination of a short teaching residency, their Wells concert will feature peerless playing, musical generosity and doubtless some surprises.

Perhaps the classiest brass ensemble in Britain, they continues to be the leading light in establishing the brass quintet as a medium for serious chamber music, presenting it in the entertaining and articulate style that has become the group’s trademark. “Easily the classiest brass ensemble in Britain” – BBC Music Magazine. Featuring Niall Keatley -trumpet, Alan Thomas -trumpet, Andrew Sutton -horn, Amos Miller -trombone and David Gordon-Shute -tuba.
