About the show
Join us for another fantastic Watford Comedy Night at the Pump House.
We’ve teamed up with Comedy Hotspot to bring you entertainment brimming with comedic excellence and featuring some of the best stand-up acts currently doing the national comedy circuit.
4 more exceptional masters of mirth will be in town, different in style but each of them hilarious in their own right. Watch this space for news of February's line-up.
Bringing the comedy love on Valentine Night are the following acts.
Hosting our show is the incredible David Ward, he is in demand as both an MC and headliner in stand up comedy clubs across the UK and Europe.
Opening the show is a circuit legend in John Newton. John Newton does not need gimmicks as he has something for more valuable to any comedian, good old fashioned original gags.
Taking up the middle slot we have Aussie fire cracker, Pam Ford. An in-your-face raconteur always delivering her sizzling sets in full glam.
Closing the show we have a real treat for you, it is the incredible Matt Richardson. Matt is a multi-award winning stand-up comedian and one of the most exciting names on the UK circuit. He has hosted the drive-time show on Virgin Radio. His TV credits include co-hosting the Xtra Factor alongside Caroline Flack, Co-Hosting Celebrity Haunted Hotel Live! Alongside Christine Lampard and helming the live spin off show alone, two one-off documentaries for ITV2 – Pampered Pooches, Hollywood and Meet The Family Guys.
Please note that the artists appearing may be subject to change.
Featuring
David Ward
Presenter, writer and comedian David Ward, is fast making his name on the comedy circuit. David is a friendly, upbeat presenter with an intelligent yet warm and cheeky outlook that gives him a unique and gentle bite. Fluid, quick thinking and lively, David's spontaneity has made him the choice host for the BBC's New Comedy Awards heats, as well as the rounds for C5's So You Think You're Funny? David's Edinburgh show The Whole Truth and Nothing But... in 2007 was performed to great acclaim, proving his skills as a writer, storyteller and actor in addition to his presenting and stand-up skills.

John Newton
King of the one liners who began his comedy career in 2003. 'John sucks you into his world with obscurely brilliant comedy' (The Comedy Vibe) 'Slick and professional, a gag teller in the traditional mode, Newton is fast of mind and sharp of tongue' (The Comedy Pad) 'John blew his London co-stars out of the water' (Medway Messenger) 'John Newton does not require gimmicks or stage characters as he has something more valuable to any comedian, good old fashioned solid gags' (<a href="http://www.funny.co.uk)." target="_blank" rel="nofollow">www.funny.co.uk).</a>

Pam Ford
A regular on the UK and international comedy circuit. Fabulous MC and one woman tornado. Due to her strong Aussie accent, Pam is regularly asked 'where are you really from?' She sounds nothing like where she was born, Birmingham England. London-living and loving comedian Pam was once a ten-pound Pom who bounced between UK and Oz. A fun, uplifting storytelling show about surviving bullies, braces, 70s pop, fashion and, of course, Spam sandwiches. 'Perfect blend of Dave Allen and your hilarious tipsy Auntie' (Adelaide 2024 audience review).…

Matt Richardson
One of the hottest and fastest rising comedians on the circuit, Matt has made a name for himself presenting some of the biggest shows on television, including The Xtra Factor, Celebrity Haunted Mansion and The Hangover Games, all whilst presenting the Drive-time Show on Virgin Radio.
