Comedy Hotspot brings you another night brimming with comedic excellence and featuring some of the best stand-up acts currently doing the national comedy circuit.
July's line-up, especially for the Watford Fringe Festival features:
KAREN BAYLEY
Karenhails from Birmingham and has been on the circuit for over two decades. She made a name for herself early on in her career reaching the semi-final of the prestigious BBC New Comedy Awards and was later crowned the winner of the 2001 Komedia New Act prize. She followed this by becoming the first ever female winner of the prestigious Comedy Store King Gong award as well as reaching the finals of both the BBC New Comedy Awards Showcase and Babycham Funny Women.
Delightfully saucy, her friendly and confident stage presence, combined with a killer wit, an infectious giggle and some devastating one-liners make her a comedic force to be reckoned with a warm and welcoming with a delightfully saucy and spiky edge, her bold, no nonsense attitude strikes a perfect pitch with men and women alike.
KEVIN DANIEL
Kevin is an award winning comedian, who has established himself as one of the hottest up and coming acts on the UK comedy circuit. He is regularly booked by some of the most well–established comedy promoters across the UK, his commanding stage presence, relatable exquisite storytelling, and well–crafted jokes always leave audiences wanting more. In 2024 he won the prestigious Silver Stand Up competition at the Leicester Comedy Festival.
Karen Bayley
Karen began her comedy career back in 2001 and since then she has gone from strength to strength. As resident compere at her own club in Sutton Coldfield Karen honed her comedic talents and is now a well respected comic travelling the country entertaining the masses. Karen was the first ever female winner of the prestigious Comedy Store King Gong award. In 2004 she took a show to the Edinburgh Festival with Susan Murray where she gained glowing reviews. 'Inspired and sparkling punchlines... comic timing that is rarely less than brilliant. An assured performer who doesn't have much trouble getting audiences laughing' (Steve Bennett, Chortle UK) 'She has me in stitches' (Alan Carr) 'Blew my socks off... doesn't dwell too much on lady issues...
