Join us for another fantastic Watford Comedy Night at the Pump House. We’ve teamed up with Comedy Hotspot to bring you entertainment brimming with comedic excellence and featuring some of the best stand-up acts currently doing the national comedy circuit. May's line-up features:
MAUREEN YOUNGER
Maureen is frank, fast, feisty, sharp and engaging – honest humour with attitude! She works as a stand up comedian and compere all around the UK and abroad and even gigs in German! As an experienced compere, Maureen is known for her quick wit and sharp audience interaction.
EDDY BRIMSON
A self-confessed former football hooligan before turning his hands to better use as a writer and comedian, Eddy has written a host of amusing anecdotal books, penned and hosted a top three selling video ‘Teargas and Tantrums’, and is also a regular “talking head’ for numerous radio and TV shows on subjects as diverse as football, dodgy builders and sexy baldness.
AARON SIMMONDS
Aaron Simmonds has been failing to stand up for 30 years; luckily he is far better at comedy than standing up. He offers sharply-observed comedy which is grounded in his disability, but is by no means limited by it. Aaron performed his critically-acclaimed debut show, Disabled Coconut, at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2019.
MICHAEL AKADIRI
Michael's cheeky, observational style made him the inaugural winner of the Komedia New Comedy Award and starred in the London finals of the BBC New Comedy Awards in 2021 (BBC Three).

In the UK she is one of the few comedians who works regularly on the mainstream and urban comedy circuits. Her gigs have ranged from being the support act for the entire West End run of The Naked Magicians at the Trafalgar Studios as well as one of the warm up acts for Puppetry of the Penis to performing at the Barbican alongside Arthur Smith; supporting Shazia Mirza on tour; to being one of the acts at the Jamaica vs The World gigs at the Shepherds Bush Empire. Maureen is also the resident MC of MY Comedy in London and Birmingham, and has worked as a contributor on BBC Radio and Sky News. 'Maureen Younger is more than compere, more than host, with a natural gift of the gab she's quick off the mark and doesn't miss a trick!' (www.gingerbeer.co.uk) 'If you have been lucky enough to see her perform you will be fully aware of just how funny and infectious this woman is.' (Time Out) “one of the best MCs in the country” (Jo Enright) '... whose punch lines also hit the mark in German' (Cologne Rundschau) 'Engaging and funny' (Three Weeks).

Having made many TV appearances including Eastenders, Absolutely Fabulous, The Thin Blue and Casualty, he has also featured in TV adverts such as Snickers and Bacardi Breezer. 'The crowd love him' (The Guardian) '... one of the most fascinating comedians on the circuit...' Aaron Simmonds
Aaron has been trying to stand up for 25 years. Luckily, he can do comedy even if he can’t do the standing up. He has a unique perspective on life, usually of people’s belly buttons. He’s greatest influences are: Nelson Mandela, Muhammed Ali and Barry Chuckle.
