JiveSwing.com, sponsored by Watford Borough Council presents, one of the biggest FREE one day ‘JiveSwing Jazz Festivals’ ever, to be held in the UK for both dancers, musicians and fans to jam together in one of the UK’s largest and beautiful parks. Now in it’s 12th year, attracting over 3000 people from around the UK, the JiveSwing Festival has grown each year, with a much bigger stage, a growing line up of the biggest international Swing, Jazz bands, DJ’s etc from around the UK, plus FREE swing dance classes and dance shows for all the family. Plus food & drink, vintage vehicles, vintage stalls and a kids corner, with bouncy castle, merry go round, candyfloss and more! Don’t miss it!! The Band Stand Area, Cassiobury Park, Watford, Hertfordshire, WD18 7HY (Enter via Shepherds Rd entrance, near the Cha Cha Cafe). Please allow an extra 20mins on your journey time and arrive early to get a good picnic spot near the band stand area. Toilets will be available onsite including disabled facilities. Bring your friends, family and pets and enjoy a lovely day.
The Jive Aces
Britain's Got Talent stars The Jive Aces are UK's No.1 Jive and Swing band. Renowned for their high energy show, they put Simon Cowell "in a really good mood" and were the first live band to reach the BGT semi-finals. They've headlined Royal Albert Hall, played 30 countries, worked with Van Morrison and played for The Queen. Viral video "Bring Me Sunshine" has 2 million views on Youtube. Miss Holiday and the Swingtones are a 5 piece band with female vocals, sax, piano, double bass and drums. Their mix of swing, jive and jazz classics combined with vintage interpretations of modern songs appeals to a wide range of audiences and age groups.
