Jackie Oates, John Spiers

Jackie Oates is a respected and sought-after singer, fiddle player, song-writer and multi-instrumentalist, widely known for her tender, arresting interpretations of traditional folk songs. A winner of two BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, Jackie has released numerous acclaimed albums including eight solo records.

John is undoubtedly one of the best melodeon players of his generation. Over the past decade or so he has straddled the line between the traditional and contemporary, performing under the guise of Spiers & Boden and with folk super group Bellowhead.
