Best known as a member of both POrtico Quartet and Submotion Orchestra, as well as being Matthew Halsall’s pianist for many years and a sideman/collaborator with figures such as DJ Shadow, Mr. Scruff and Fred Wesley, Taz Modi’s solo project combines atmospheric piano, lush strings and subtle ambient electronica to create hypnotic and evocative soundscapes.
