Formed in 2024, the Scintilla Quartet are an exciting young ensemble comprised of musicians studying at the Royal Academy of Music.

They regularly receive coaching from world class musicians such as Anthony Marwood, Sini Simonen, and members of the Doric, Fibonacci and Barbican Quartets.

Some of their recent performances include a public masterclass with Lawrence Power and lunchtime recitals at Lea Barn for the Maidenhead Music Society’s Rising Stars concert, and St James’ Piccadilly for their chamber music series. The Quartet recently placed second in the Nina Drucker Haydn prize and third in the Historical Women Composers Prize within the Academy.

Scintilla were honoured to be guest artists at the 2025 iteration of the Halstead Music Festival and to be accepted onto the Frost ASSET Scheme, with mentoring from Hélène Clement.

They look forward to further lunchtime and evening concerts, with debuts and returns at the Petworth and Halstead Festivals respectively.
