With his special Christmas show, Johnny Coppin – one of England’s finest singer/songwriters and a member of Decameron – returns to the Goods Shed to present another feast and rich mix of traditional carols and new songs, together with stories, folklore and superstitions.
Johnny is joined here by Paul Burgess (ex-John Kirkpatrick Band), on fiddle/recorders and stories, Dik Cadbury (ex Steve Hackett, Decameron) on guitars, and this year for the first time by Geoff March (Decameron) on cello with wonderful and evocative seasonal images from Martin Fry.
This ever-popular concert continues to delight audiences young and old, year on year. Expect a dash of well-written lyrics, some marvelous musicality from three multi-talented artists seasoned with festive memories, warm nostalgia and timeless rustic country customs.
There’ll be offerings from the latest joyous collection and release ‘Midwinter Live in Concert‘ and much loved material from his previous three Christmas albums : ‘A Country Christmas‘, ‘Keep The Flame‘ and ‘All On A Winter’s Night‘.
A sumptuous evening of new songs and old favourites, with original and traditional songs/tunes from Britain, Ireland, France and beyond.

Johnny Coppin
Celebrated Cotswolds singer-songwriter Johnny Coppin made his name in the '70s with the cult folk-rock group Decameron but has worked as a solo performer on the European folk scene for many years, playing his own material and new arrangements of traditional folk songs. An accomplished performer, he is renowned for his clear vocals, guitar and keyboard playing. He had a hit collaboration with well-loved writer Laurie Lee on the album Edge Of Day, setting Lee's poems to music, and has a weekly show on BBC Radio Gloucestershire. 'Strong, clear vocals, and songs of substance' (The Daily Telegraph) 'One of the finest voices in its field' (Q Magazine).
