Join Tetbury Rail Lands Regeneration Trust honorary president and driving force Will Cook as he relates how he inspired and led a group of amazing volunteers to come together and turn a rundown old goods shed into one of the best-loved arts centres in the area.
Will Cook

A native Tetburian, Will Cook has been involved with the Shed and surrounding rail lands since the project started in the 1990s, with Will chatting to the then Prince of Wales.

He was one of the original Trustees when the rail lands trust was formed in 2000, and was the Chairman from 2013 to 2017. During that time, he led the Goods Shed renovation project; turning the building from a derelict wreck into the beautiful arts centre that we have today.

As well as his tireless involvement in fundraising, Will also probably did the most actual physical work on the project, using his carpentry skills as well as labouring.

Since stepping down as Chairman, Will has been the great driver in getting the café started and then making it into a much loved and popular venue for dog-walkers, mothers, children and anyone who loves the park lands.

He was also instrumental in bringing to Tetbury and renovating the Goods Shed’s railway carriage as well as designing and doing much of the building of the Play Station children’s play area next to the arts centre.

Licensed bar. Doors open at 6:45pm. Talk starts at 7:30pm.
