We’re thrilled to welcome Ben Ottewell to the stage.
Best known as one of the three lead vocalists of Mercury Prize-winning indie legends Gomez, Ben has built a reputation around his unmistakable deep, gravelly baritone, a voice that cuts straight through you from the very first note.
Blending indie, alternative rock and folk, Ben’s solo material carries the same raw honesty and emotional weight that made Gomez’s debut Bring It On a landmark record. Since launching his solo career with Shapes & Shadows, he’s carved out a powerful, intimate live show that lets the songs and that voice truly shine.
This will be a rare chance to experience one of the UK’s most distinctive singer-songwriters up close.
Support comes from local talent Jim Blair, opening the night with his own crafted songwriting and setting the tone perfectly for what promises to be a special evening.

Ben Ottewell
Ben Ottewell is best known as a member of Gomez, a British rock act whose debut album, Bring It On, won the Mercury Music Prize in 1998. Gomez never had a designated frontman - Ottewell, Ian Ball, and Tom Gray all sang, and the band’s albums usually included several vocal performances from each - but Ottewell took the helm more than his bandmates, making him one of the group's most prominent members.
After releasing the band's sixth album in 2009, he began paving the way for a solo career and solo albums, with 2017's A Man Apart being his most recent release.
