This season of recitals has been all about Modernist Classics. This last recital in the season is an intriguing combination of Jazz, Classical, Romantic, Modernist, Impressionist and Tango, with works by Gershwin, Beethoven, Chopin, Tippett, Debussy and Ginastera to truly explore the full range of sounds available to the solo pianist in the 20th Century. Paul Turner plays pictures painted in music and ends with a piece requiring a high degree of virtuosity to bring the season to a rousing conclusion.

Paul Turner

Wiltshire-based classical pianist and chamber musician who studied at the Royal Academy of Music, London.
