A gorgeous double-headline gig for you, as two artists from the worlds of British folk-pop and Americana, respectively, celebrate their different styles as a joint band with double bassist Joe Hughes.
My Girl The River
Kris Wilkinson Hughes, aka My Girl the River, is a Louisiana native, now based in the UK after a decade of songwriting in Nashville. She has recently released her third album, Songs About Space, to strong critical acclaim.
As a performer, she is funny, warm and fearless with a sackful of hook-laden songs and a voice of sweet sugared espresso. You might find yourself singing along or shedding a tear on your journey. Love, loss, Louisiana and hot chicken are just some of the stops along the way.

My Girl The River is an Americana, alt country, folk and roots project created by American Kris Wilkinson with British bassist Joe Hughes. It is mainly inspired by Kris' upbringing in the American Deep South, bringing to life anecdotes, half-truths, white lies and fables. Ranging from alt-country and folk to Americana and roots, it ticks every box.
