This new lineup playing arrangements of Honey's originals melds the fire and energy of a large ensemble with the freedom and spontaneity of a tight knit small group. Honey Boulton specialises in swing and bebop guitar, but with a love of a wide breadth of styles and artists, he is able to play across the board stylistically, presented with a joy that is positively contagious. Honey is also an avid composer/arranger, drawing inspiration from luminaries such as Toshiko Akiyoshi, Wes Montgomery and Martin Paich.

Hosted at one of London's hottest venues, The Hum in Stoke Newington, a hub of creative connection and community. This will be a night of feel-good jazz to not miss.

Honey Boulton

Alexander 'Honey' Boulton specialises in swing and bebop guitar, as well as jazz banjo. He has a large body of original works which are featured in his 3 released albums, 'Portrait', 'Les Charmants' and 'Honey'. Jazz banjo extraordinaire Honey Boulton presents Stomps and Joys: a collection of original rags and novelty tunes in the style of 1920s jazz and dance music, as well a smattering of classic tunes from the era.
