Join us for the Closing Ceremony of the Tees Valley International Film Festival, an Evening with Johnny Vegas. During this headline festival event, Johnny will take us on a journey through his illustrious career from his beginnings in stand-up comedy to leading roles in such TV classics as Benidorm and Still Open All Hours.

Interviewed by Ben Crompton from Game of Thrones, who also co-starred with Johnny in Ideal, Johnny will share stories of his career highs and lows, the many inspirational people he’s worked with over the years and the challenges the creative industry presents to budding actors and comedians from the North.

Hosted by Middlesbrough’s own Lucie Walker, the night also includes the presentation of awards to the winning filmmakers that’ve had their films screened over the course of the festival and will feature the final of the TVIFF Monologue Competition. The evening will end with a performance of ‘Tubthumping’ the iconic 1997 Chumbawamba song, performed by their former singer, Dunstan Bruce.

So, if you’re an undiscovered or developing creative who’s seeking inspiration and advice or if you just want a good-natured night out that will close the industry leading, ground-breaking celebration of local talent and creativity that the Tees Valley International Film Festival has become, then this event is an absolute must see.
