A night in which Dominic Nelson Ashley performs his poetry about love, joy, relationships, fatherhood, identity, recovering from cancer and, of course, the Middlesbrough riots.

This show is a celebration of life – who we are, where we’ve come from and where we are going. Dominic Nelson-Ashley is firmly established as a spoken-word artist who delivers consistently electrifying performances.

An award-winning writer and co-host of the Happiness is Easy podcast.

The show also launches Dominic Nelson-Ashley’s powerful new book, Riot Music -a collection of poetry exploring love, identity, fatherhood, and the impact of the 2024 Middlesbrough riots. Blending personal reflection with social commentary, it captures a day that shook the community and left lasting scars on both the streets and the people who call them home.
