The legendary guitarist, Richard Smith, returns to Southwell in November. He's a British fingerstyle guitarist, renowned for his variety of styles and techniques, entertaining performances and engaging charisma. He tours almost constantly in the USA, and this is a great chance to catch him in a small setting. Inspired by iconic guitarists like Chet Atkins, Merle Travis, Jerry Reed, Django Reinhardt and Joe Pass, Smith's unique style blends country, jazz, classical and ragtime influences. In his very early years, he received mentorship from guitar greats, laying the foundation for his future success.

Richard Smith
Richard started playing the guitar at age 5 and over the years his style has combined classical music, jazz, the gypsy style of Django Reinhardt, bluegrass, ragtime and the blues to Sousa marches. Richard is now renowned worldwide for his mastery of the instrument and for his knock-out entertaining show.
