Sounds of Spring: Celebrated classics of drama & lyricism
Celebrate the season with a vibrant programme from Beethoven’s stormy Fifth Symphony to Delius’s serene First Cuckoo in Spring, alongside Bruch’s folk-inspired Swedish Dances, Holst’s pastoral Somerset Rhapsody, Mendelssohn’s youthful Overture for Winds, and Zipoli’s lyrical Adagio.

The Solent Concert Orchestra is a group of amateur musicians from the Southampton, Solent and New Forest area. We aim to give enjoyment to our members and audiences with performances of classical to light modern orchestral music, including symphonies and concertos, at least three times a year in the Southern Hampshire area.
