Formed in the late 70s, Nine Below Zero first made their mark in 1980, when they signed to A&M Records, released their debut album Live at The Marquee and headlined The Hammersmith Odeon supported by Jools Holland. The early 80’s saw them gracing TV screens nationwide on iconic shows such as The Old Grey Whistle Test and The Southbank Show even appearing on the very first episode of the ground-breaking comedy sitcom The Young Ones.

Over subsequent years and multiple releases the band supported the likes of Eric Clapton at Royal Albert Hall, Brian May, Chuck Berry, Bruce Foxton and Ray Davies and were signed by Sting and later Zed Records, featured on the soundtrack of the blockbuster movie Twelve Monkeys (which saw Bruce Willis perform with them on stage at the film launch) written albums with Nik Kershaw and played live with guests Glen Tilbrook and Alexis Korner.

Original members Dennis Greaves and Mark Feltham, today announce a Nine Below Zero acoustic tour and as DenMark release a 29 track, Double LP of acoustic recordings.

The idea of DenMark was to re-record & remix all the acoustic tracks that had been made on ZED RECORDS since 2000 and with a host of brand new tracks, to make the DEFINITIVE NINE BELOW ZERO ACOUSTIC COLLECTION.

Dennis and Mark have been performing as a Duo since their debut duo album released in 2015, inspired by some of their favourite Blues Artist’s; Sonny Terry, Brownie McGhee, Hank Williams & Sonny Boy Williamson.

Nine Below Zero

One of the UK's finest Rhythm & Blues Bands, Nine Below Zero, formed in 1979 and named themselves after the famous Sonny Boy Williamson song. In 1980 they signed to A&M Records and released the seminal 'Live at the Marquee' album. By the end of that year they had moved from selling out the Marquee to selling out the Hammersmith Odeon. In 1981 their first studio album 'Don't Point Your Finger' and the band made appearances on the Old Grey Whistle Testand the South Bank show. In 1982 they appeared on 'The Young Ones' with the track 'Eleven + Eleven' before releasing arguably their finest album 'Third Degree' which features such tracks as 'Wipe Away Your Kiss' & 'You Can't Say Yes And You Can't Say No'. The album's iconic image was taken by none other than David Bailey. Nine Below Zero have shared stages over the years with Chuck Berry, The Kinks, The Who, Eric Clapton, & Squeeze.
