Utopia Theatre is delighted to bring our latest screening event to the Creative Hub, in honour of Black History Month. Here's What She Said To Me, written by Oladipo Agboluaje, is the heartfelt story of three generations of proud African women: Agbeke, Omotola and Aramide. They connect with one another across time, space, and two continents. They share their struggles, joys, tragedies, and broken dreams, in order to find healing in the present. Feel the energy of a live theatre audience in the room with you as this live capture of the show takes you through this deeply intimate exploration of memory, migration and Black identity through the lens of the mother-daughter relationship.

The play combines compelling drama with music, poetry and movement to illustrate this story of mothers and daughters in the world of migration and shifting identities, braving life with an undying hope, optimism and resilience.

Following the screening, we will be joined by Director of the show and Artistic Director of Utopia Theatre, Mojisola Kareem and a number of special guest panelists. Alongside our fantastic host, Mojisola and the panel are thrilled to be a part of this open conversation, ready to answer all of your audience questions and reflect on the themes of this well-loved production. You'll even get a flavour of what's next from Utopia with some behind the scenes intel on what to expect from Crown of Blood...
