Marilla Homes

Marilla Homes is a force of nature, her voice powerful, subtle, enticing. She released her first album Inner Whirl in 2011, featuring a range of covers with various local Melbourne musicians, including blues, trad ballads, country, modern folk songwriters and acapella songs. She is an accomplished singer, song writer and educator. Originally from Australia, she has been living in the UK for over a decade. Her new album 'Marilla and Friends' is an excellent example of her musical versatility and the joy she finds in collaborating with other artists. Associate artists include Fred Smith, Tony McManus and Martin Simpson. Her performances offer audiences respite from the everyday, an opportunity to reflect and connect, to think and cry and dance and laugh. She promises she will never leave her audiences sad!
