Routes to Roots

This vibrant and captivating multi-arts performance follows our recent exhibition at the Millennium Gallery Sheffield. It brings together participants from Bradford (WomenZone), Sheffield (King Ecgbert’s School) and Croydon (Stanley Arts) to share reflections on migration, heritage and cultural identity.

The performance is the culmination of creative arts workshops held in each city and celebrates hidden stories and the diverse artistry within the South Asian diaspora.

We’ll also screen our special Sheffield Documentary, Routes to Roots: The Story of the Madras Jazz Group, charting the real life story that inspired Maya’s new Anglo-Indian musical in development, Benny and the Greycats, and this project.
