It’s 1928, and teenage actress Molly O’Day is Hollywood’s newest star – and newest product to be packaged and sold. As her fame grows so does tabloid scrutiny of her body, and Molly is told she must either lose weight, or lose hope of ‘making it’ in Hollywood. She goes to increasingly drastic lengths to conform to the industry’s dangerous beauty ideals; from fad diets to the surgeon’s knife. Featuring an original score, The Sculpture takes you back to the glitz and glamour of early Hollywood, and tells the true and tragic story of Molly O’Day.

Following a successful run at The Lantern Theatre in February 2024, join Northern Lights Theatre for one last chance to see The Sculpture before it heads to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe!

The play will be followed by a Q&A with the cast and crew, and a chance to give your feedback on the show.
