We've been hoping to put on Tom House from Sweet Williams for quite some time and now that he's back from Spain, there's no excuse for us not to!

Thomas House, with or without a revolving cast of other musicians, has been writing and recording as Sweet Williams since 2010. The music is slow, delicate and repetitive. The words are scrambled like eggs oughta be. Season on the plate, not in the pan.

Plus Pefkin

Half of the Sonido Polifonico team, giving up haunting the mixing desk for the evening and taking to the stage.
Pefkin is the solo project of Gayle Brogan, also of Burd Ellen, Meadowsilver, Greenshank and Electroscope. She creates slowly unfolding drone hymnals from effects-laden viola / violin, synth, zither and voice, with her sound and lyrics anchored in the landscape. She has been compared to Nico, Coil, "Enya on acid" and Popul Vuh.

Pefkin has issued over 15 albums on international labels such as Morc, Pseudoarcana, Digitalis, Nite Hive, Sonido Polifonico and Rural Faune, with a new album due out on Morc in 2026.

Pefkin hopes to figure out a way of performing most of her forthcoming album, even if that means radical reworking of the songs.

Pefkin

Pefkin is the alter ego of Gayle Brogan, Ayrshire-based creator of slowly-unfolding, ritualistic hymnals that draw heavily on the landscape and natural world. Pefkin emerged after the retro-futuristic psych / electronic duo Electroscope went into diapause in 2000. Her first solo show was supporting Pram. Influenced by Nico, Hood, Movietone and Syd Barrett, she created a fragmentary, more stripped-down version of Electroscope’s bedroom psychedelia but retreated from live performance in 2001. Her sound comprises a mesmerising and enigmatic layering of vocals, violin, analogue synth, zither, psaltery, harp, guitar, found objects and field recordings. She records at home in North Ayrshire with contributions from regular collaborators John Cavanagh (Phosphene) and Alan Davidson (Kitchen Cynics).
