About the show
Julian-Marc Stringle (clarinet) made his TV debut with Acker Bilk when he was just 14, and at 17 he formed a Modern Jazz quintet and toured Europe. That's quite a start! He's also one of the nicest people in the jazz world, and we love having him at Seaford.
Playing with Julian tonight are Neal (piano/vox), Nigel Thomas (bass), Phil Crabbe (drums).

From child prodigy to master clarinettist, Julian's liquid phrasing and eloquent articulation distinguish him as one of the UK's most stylish and dynamic performers. Proving his versatility, he has accompanied an all-embracing array of artists from Peanuts Hucko and Digby Fairweather to Meatloaf and the Spice Girls! Julian is also in demand as an arranger and composer for film and TV, and his CD 'Blues for the Morning After', won outstanding acclaim for its slinky and subtle blend of blues, ballads and bebop.
