Matt Edwards Band

Matt Edwards is a songwriter/vocalist/guitarist based in the south of England. A self-taught multi-instrumentalist he is inspired by a huge wealth of musical genres. He has been touring constantly since 2011 with his live band and solo shows. In 2024 Matt releases his fourth solo album ‘Out In The Wild’, his first self recorded, self mixed album, recorded at various studios across the south of the UK. Matt’s 2012 debut album ‘Follow The Plan’ featured Matt writing and playing all the instruments on the album. After the release of his debut album Matt put together a live band ‘Matt Edwards Band’ which has grown a reputation for high quality performances. 2015 saw the second studio release in the form of 12 track album ‘FOUR BERRY JAM’ and continued touring followed across the UK. In 2018 Matt releases his exciting latest studio album ‘BACKWARD ROOTS’. An eclectic collection of songs, showcasing why Edwards is something different in the Blues Rock scene. Featuring Richard Newman (Paul Rodgers, Steve Marriot) on drums and Stuart Dixon (Geno Washington, Greg Coulson) on bass.
