Darwin and The Finches

Blackpool is a complex town. On the surface there are bright lights and fun times but if you step back to watch, listen and absorb then you will find a lot more going on.

Darwin and The Finches are observers of their world, finding the undercurrent and riding it to create songs that, like their town, are easy on the eye - or rather, ear - until you realise the subject matter is of a more serious nature.

The acoustic two piece, made up of Michael Shanagher (Guitar, Vocals) and Liam Pemberton (Drums/Percussion) deliver their instantly listenable, relatable and anthemic songs with panache and that all encompassing northern charm.

With influences from the likes of Nick Cave and Neil Young, Darwin and The Finches, having created their latest EP “Lift” and completed a UK tour, are already get back in the recording studio and hitting the road for a string of live shows across the country.
