Rob Rouse

Rob Rouse appearing at this event

An English comedian known for his hyperactive brand of humour. Since winning Channel Four's prestigious 'So You Think You're Funny' Competition at the Edinburgh Festival in 1998, an award previously won by Phil Kay, Dylan Moran, Lee Mack, Tommy Tiernan and Peter Kay, he has been a regular performer at major venues on both the London and National circuit. With more energy than a hyperactive six-year-old sucking on a lollipop while bouncing on a space-hopper, he is a veteran of several critically acclaimed Edinburgh Festival shows, three sold out national theatre tours and a New Zealand tour, firmly establishing him as one of comedy's most lively, amenable and dynamic performers. 'He is a great storyteller... prepared to go to the bleakest and most uncomfortable places... The tears of laughter came in floods’ (The Scotsman). 'Frankly brilliant' (<a href="http://www.SuchSmallPortions.com)" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">www.SuchSmallPortions.com)</a> 'Brilliant' (Chortle) 'A carefully weighted hour of comedic storytelling' (Fest) 'Missing This show means missing something wonderful' (Edinburgh Evening News).

Peter Brush

Peter Brush appearing at this event

Peter Brush is a highly distinctive performer and deft writer of finely crafted jokes. He unassumingly takes the stage with his slight bespectacled frame and scruffy hair, before consummately conquering it with an arsenal of razor sharp quirky one-liners and peerlessly original routines, all delivered in an amusingly awkward fashion. A BBC New Comedy Award Finalist 2013 & Harrogate Comedian of the Year 2012, he has also written for BBC Radio 4's 'The News Quiz'. 'An imaginative use of language and obtuse angles of thought that produce distinctive and eclectic gags... his best lines are inspired' (Chortle). “Unique observations and connections that stand-ups crave” (The Guardian).

He's been declared a highlight of the New Zealand International Comedy Festival by The NZ Herald, a highlight of the Glasgow International Comedy Festival by The Scotsman, won Canada's Master's of the Universe Improv Competition, and featured on Australian TV's The Comedy Channel. 'A vitriol which makes Richard Dawkins look like the Archbishop of Canterbury... engaging...' (The Scotsman) '... a blast of hilarity' (Manchester Evening News) '... quintessentially Kiwi comedy...' (The Press, NZ) '... a wicked sense of humour, gets the audience involved from the kick off...' (BBC) '... perfectly dropped punchlines... Easy control of an audience, who hang on his every word' (Chortle) 'Sully had the audience showing their appreciation with fits of laughter and applause' (<a href="http://www.channel" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">www.channel</a> 4.com).
