About the show
"Imaginarium" is a new, fantastic afternoon & early evening, mini prog rock festival, in Reading, Berkshire!
Imaginarium features four acts in 2026.
Playing solo today, Carola Baer's music is conveyed through her beautiful voice & expert keyboard playing. It is characterised by hypnotic ambient post alternative rock with a social conscience creating a lush sound that weaves emotional intensity with captivating lyrical expressions, story telling qualities, soundscape & emotive concerns.
Dandelion Charm, husband & wife duo, Clare (vocals & percussion) & John (vocals & guitar) blend folk, prog and rock, with a sound reminiscent of the late '60s and early '70's. Think Fleetwood Mac meets Opeth, CSN meets Yes. Intricate harmonies and epic outros tell emotional stories of disfunction, joy and despair.
The Wood Demons are a 5-piece band, featuring John Silver (bass) , Rick Startin (keyboards), Naomi Belshaw (violin), Ed Kontargyris (drums) & Simon Carbery (guitar). Drawing on a wide range of musical influences, they write original music with echoes of progressive rock, electronica, psychedelia, alternative rock, folk and classical.
Kindred Spirit Band are a 5-piece band, featuring “perceptive & intriguing” songs, “haunting & beautiful” voice & rhythm guitar work of Elaine Samuels. They weave the thrilling electric guitar, of Piers Hogg & flute, sax or cello, of Stevie Mitchell, with compelling & uplifting stories & driving bass from Keith Buckman & drums from Paul Austin.
