Trevor Watts

A pioneering figure in British jazz and improvised music, Trevor Watts has been at the forefront of creative music for over five decades with dozens of albums as leader or collaborator. Known for his distinctive sound on alto saxophone and his uncompromising commitment to innovation, Watts has worked with some of the most influential names in jazz and beyond, including Archie Shepp, Don Cherry, Steve Lacy, Amalgam, and the Spontaneous Music Ensemble. His extensive discography reflects both his deep roots in jazz traditions and his explorations into new musical territories, from free improvisation to world music fusions.
With Eternal Triangle, Watts brings together a powerful lineup that highlights his lyrical intensity, rhythmic drive, and unique ability to blend structure with freedom.
