Charlie is a bestselling author, award-winning broadcaster and accomplished live performer. Three of his books have been selected as BBC Radio 4 Book of the Week including Attention All Shipping: A Journey Round the Shipping Forecast, one of the biggest-selling travel books of the current millennium.

A former presenter on the BBC TV Holiday programme, Charlie has fronted documentaries and series for Radio 4 and written radio comedy scripts for the BBC and RTÉ. He writes and presents the popular Coastal Stories podcast.
