ZonaSur Cinema Club: Voices of the Island

About the show

With the valued support of the British Film Institute, this special event invites Oxford audiences to discover two compelling works that reflect the richness, complexity, and evolving voices of contemporary Cuban cinema.

The evening will open with the short film 'Primera Enseñanza (Primary Education, 2025, 14 minutes) directed by Aria Sánchez and Marina Meira.

The screening will be followed by the feature film 'Cuentos de un Día Más' (Tales of Another Day, 2021, 1 hour 30 minutes), coordinated by the renowned Cuban filmmaker Fernando Pérez.
