Sleep Suppressor is a Crazy-Jazz band based in Newcastle consisting of George Ivanov (guitar), Haaruun Miller (saxes, EWI), Dave Parker (bass) and Joe Deans (drums). Obliterating the boundaries of Modern Jazz, their music pulls from a wide range of genres, including: prog rock, trad jazz, jazz-punk, EDM, and Video Game music. Since their launch in early 2023, Sleep Suppressor have become infamous across the North-East, combining the musicianship of a jazz band with the wild live antics of a rock group, while creating brief ambient improvisations in moments of respite.
