The Annual Free Convention returns to The Cullercoats Crescent Club, North Shields, celebrating 39 years of incredible live music dedicated to Free.

Saturday night is a full celebration of Free, featuring three incredible bands performing the music of one of Britain’s greatest rock groups.

Absolute Free headlines with a set covering music from Free studio albums, bringing fans to their feet for an electrifying night of classic rock.

The Heartbreaker Collective is a young and exceptionally talented band that comes together exclusively for this event. Performing a Free set on both nights, they have received standing ovations every year, with many saying they capture the raw energy of a young Free.

The Stealer switches gears from their Bad Company set on Friday to perform a set dedicated entirely to Free, ensuring no fan goes home disappointed.

The principle aim of the Annual Free Convention is to build up a membership of fans who may have an interest in continued comradeship inbetween the annual events that take place to share our love for that great band. The Annual Free Convention is an annual event that hosts tribute bands performing music relating to the individuals of 'Free' i.e. Paul Rodgers, Andy Fraser, Simon Kirke and Paul Kossoff (RIP), as well as the related bands like 'Bad Company' 'Sharks' 'Back Street Crawler' etc...
