Bath based Baka Beyond blend ๐€๐Ÿ๐ซ๐ข๐œ๐š๐ง and ๐‚๐ž๐ฅ๐ญ๐ข๐œ music into an electrifying mix thatโ€™s got everyone dancing! Their music isnโ€™t just about beats; itโ€™s about bridging cultures and spreading joy.
Inspired by the Baka Pygmies of Cameroon, Baka Beyond doesnโ€™t just play their music โ€“ they live it.

Martin Cradick and Su Hart, the brains behind the band, were so moved by the Bakaโ€™s spirit during their first visit to the Cameroon rainforest that they knew they had to share it with the world. Their album โ€œ๐’๐ฉ๐ข๐ซ๐ข๐ญ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐…๐จ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ญโ€ catapulted them to global fame, but theyโ€™ve stayed true to their roots. To ensure the Baka people benefit from their music, they set up the charity โ€œ๐†๐ฅ๐จ๐›๐š๐ฅ ๐Œ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ข๐œ ๐„๐ฑ๐œ๐ก๐š๐ง๐ ๐žโ€ and still visit the same Baka extended family to ensure that they continue to benefit.

Baka Beyond

After 25 years of mixing African and Celtic music in equal measures, Baka Beyond has become one of the finest danceable bands around creating the sound of the global village and attaining worldwide recognition. The energy of their thoroughly uplifting and seamless blend of fiery beats, enchanting harmonies and spectacular dancing defies anybody to sit still. Each musician brings their own influence and talent to the music creating a unique spectacle and honouring a lesson learned from the Baka people, 'everyone is to be listened to'.
