The internationally acclaimed Carducci Quartet brings their exceptional artistry to nadsa on 19th September, presenting a programme that spans nearly two centuries of string quartet innovation. Described by The Strad as demonstrating “a masterclass in unanimity of musical purpose,” this Royal Philharmonic Society Award-winning ensemble offers an evening where Romantic intimacy meets Soviet intensity, with a rare gem of 19th-century chamber music at its heart.
Carducci String Quartet
Based in the UK, the Carducci Quartet is recognised as one of today's most successful string quartets, performing over 90 concerts worldwide each year whilst running their own annual festival in Highnam, Gloucestershire and recording label Carducci Classics, as well as holding residencies at Trinity Laban, Cardiff University and Dean Close School, Cheltenham. The Carducci String Quartet are Matthew Denton and Michelle Fleming (violins), Eoin Schmidt-Martin (viola) and Emma Denton (cello).
