About the show
Drawing on the book Common People, Leah Gordon and Lewis Winks discuss the history of enclosure, the loss of the commons, and their lasting impact on contemporary Britain.
Annabel Edwards is no longer able to be with us in Ashburton for this event.
After the talk by author Leah Gordon, Orjana Rudeloff of Craftmongers will chair a discussion with Leah and campaigner Lewis Winks, followed by a Q&A and book signing.
Common People: A folk history of land rights, enclosure and resistance by Leah Gordon and Stephen Ellcock with additional writing by Annabel Edwards, was published in October 2025 by Watkins. watkinspublishing.com/books/common-people/
