Brooke Sharkey

Brooke Sharkey has spent most of her life in London and France. She writes gypsy and blues inspired folk ballads in both languages, contrasting cotton wool folk melodies with strong and soulful vocals throughout her songs. Brooke Sharkey’s lyrics are emotional ponderings about relationships and life, its struggles and indeed its glories. Words and melodies contain hauntingly poetic imagery strongly influenced by her time spent in France and her keen passion for travel, flitting between chanson and traditional English folk with a plethora of genres fused in-between. She has drawn comparisons to the likes of Kate Bush, Ane Brun and Cat Power.

Isak's Island

Isak's Island is a London based space folk / rock group from Oslo. The band is an extension of Aksel Undset's self titled solo project, that released the EP "Peculiar Calls From Outer Space" in the autumn 2013.
