Hosted by Joe McElderry, Something In The Water is a celebration of the remarkable talent and humour only found in England’s North East.

Built on solid foundations, this new event harnesses all the charm of Cabaret style revue shows mixed with a live music concert, set in the breathtaking surroundings of Newcastle Theatre Royal.

With host Joe McElderry and powered by North East funk-soul supergroup Groovetrain, this fast-paced, live show will bring together a generation of the brightest northern stars from the charts, the stage, and the screen – with proceeds donated to Newcastle Theatre Royal Trust, a registered charity, funding will help more children and young people find their own star through music and the performing arts.

Joe McElderry is the X Factor golden boy with the 24-carat voice and the diamond personality which has made him one of the most beloved young singers in the country. Since storming to victory in the 2009 X Factor final, Joe's unmistakable voice, easy wit and warm rapport have endeared him to all ages from 5 to 95. Whether he’s singing a pop hit, or stunning the audience into silence with Opera, Joe has evolved from boy crooner to the master of his craft.
