Join us for an unforgettable evening of comedy at Northern Stage hosted by the fabulous Nicola Mantalios!
With a cracking line-up of famous faces and emerging talent, featuring the hilarious Sophie Duker (Taskmaster; Live at the Apollo), the brilliant Desiree Burch (Taskmaster; Would I Lie to You?), and the unstoppable Dan Tiernan (British Comedian of the Year 2022). Plus ‘pint-sized Geordie treasure’ (NARC Magazine) Joby Mageean and the Sean Lock Comedy Award nominee Lauren Stone.

Nicola Mantalios-Lovett
From being a finalist of So You Think Your Funny 2011 in her first year of comedy to taking her wonderful, powerful show Cult Following to the Edinburgh Fringe Nicola is a great act to watch. NARC praised her "phenomenal writing" being "big on laughs".

Sophie Duker
Sophie Duker is quickly establishing herself as one of the most exciting acts on the circuit. Her favourite things include breaking hearts, taking names and telling jokes with the confidence of a cis straight middle-class white man. As seen on Frankie Boyle's New World Order (BBC2), Riot Girls (Channel 4), and 8 Out of 10 Cats (E4). Cohost of BBC Radio 4's GrownUpLand. Creator of the Evening Standard-recommended comedy night Wacky Racists.

Desiree Burch
Raised in L.A., developed artistically in NY and currently resides in London. Her brash and energetic comedy style has been seen on NBC and E4, and made her the winner of the 2015 Funny Women Stage Award for stand-up. As a writer and performer, she makes raw and gutsy work. Her critically-acclaimed solo show 52 Man Pickup has toured internationally and her solo piece Tar Baby won a 2015 Fringe First for new writing at the Edinburgh International Festival Fringe. In 2015, Desiree Burch, “a larger than life New Yorker… who brought the roof down” (–The Independent), won the Funny Women stage award for stand-up comedy. On screen, Desiree has been featured on E4s World’s Greatest Bodyshockers and NBC’s Before the Morning After. Huffington Post has listed her as one of their Favorite Female Comedians. Live comedy credits include Spank, Angel Comedy, Greg Shapiro Presents, Shaggers, Right Now! with Carolyn Castiglia, Wyatt Cenac’s Night Train, and The Big C Comedy Gala in Edinburgh.

Dan Tiernan
