Michael Roach, one of thirteen children born in Washington, D.C., USA, sings and plays guitar in an East Coast style of blues that dates back to the 1920s. After spending several years learning directly from such well known figures as John Jackson, John Cephas and Jerry Ricks, Michael Roach has developed his own style and is now an exceptional performer. He interacts with his audience and entertains as he plays.
Sadie Roach received an honours degree in 'Music and Sound' from the University of West London and studied ‘Jazz Piano’ at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. She has been playing jazz since she was 10 years old and lists Ray Bryant, Mary Lou Williams, Nina Simone and Horace Silver as her influences. Being the daughter of Michael Roach, she also grew up on the blues and is familiar with the piano styles of all the great players. Her latest single, ‘Time To Humanize It’, has been applauded from industry insiders to members of the general public.
