The etheral wailings of Robert Smith set amongst layer upon layer of dark, melancholic guitars, edgey atmospherics and occasional pop wanderings all make up the unmistakable ingredients of The Cure. Whether they're wandering down Fascination Street or in love on a Friday, The Cure remain unmissable.

Late 80s/early 90s Shoegaze outfit Slowdive were darlings of the NME and were signed to the legendary Creation label, back in the days when Indie really was Indie! Releasing three albums and a string of EPs between '91-'95, they were more productive in that short period than My Bloody Valentine have been in their entire career! After a gap of 19 years since their last live performance, Slowdive returned for live shows and hopes of recording new material. Talking about the influence of the band and the shoegaze resurgence in recent years, Slowdive's Rachel Goswell says: 'The fact that the music we made still stands up today and is influencing new bands says a lot and that makes me feel very proud of what we did. There seems to be a lot of love out there for Slowdive, which is nice'.

The Slow Readers Club are a Manchester based four piece who specialise in indie electro doom pop. 'Intense, collar tugging urgency is interpreted by the emotions of young lovers, separated by the thin divide of an airport arrivals gate, in a very different way to the stock broker waiting for the bell that closes a dirty day’s trading. Urgency, the sound of sand ebbing through the hour glass to the chaos of an urban rush hour, sums up the music of The Slow Readers Club. In their former incarnation, Omertà, two thirds of The Slow Readers Club line up were loved and lauded by fans and industry figures who saw the same depth in their music as exists in the sounds of Interpol, Nick Cave, Arcade Fire and other contemporaries. The Slow Readers Club maintains these irresistible, crowd-pleasing sensibilities whilst nursing tender hearts.'
