Yasak Helva is an innovative trio from Anatolia, fusing gritty Anatolian psych-rock and grunge energy with the soul of Turkish folk, arabesque, and jazz. While many bands have joined the Turkish psych revival, Yasak Helva embodies it, blending tradition and distortion into something raw and sophisticated in the same time and entirely their own. This isn’t polished pop-psych; this is music made to shake foundations. Driven by custom-modified Anatolian instruments, thunderous bass, and dynamic drums, their sound paints a a rich soundscape stretching from Anatolia through the Balkans to the Middle East and beyond.
