Growing up in a musical household in Melbourne, Lydia May grew up on a musical diet of icons such as Carole King, The Beatles and Adele and began channeling her ideas into songwriting at 9 years old. Being a part of her local youth choir, she developed a strong sense of melody which now sets the young musician apart from her contemporaries with infectious hooks and rich harmonic landscapes. In 2017 she released her debut demo album “Heart & Soul” and followed up with the EP “Priorities” in 2019 after moving to the UK to study at the BRIT School.
